God, I wish! I had never heard of that film before. BUT I will say that there are certainly echoes of that IMDB synopsis in Red Army - Red Planet. For you see, there is a Peter Graves in all of us...

I hope and pray that this will in some way reference the epic 1952 film Red Planet Mars with Peter Graves.

You've got to be careful when adapting "Twelve Angry Men" to audio because the characters are given numbers, not names (and I don't think they even refer to each other by number), so it's sometimes hard to keep track of which character is speaking. L.A. Theatre Works did a version of the play a few years ago and I'm not sure they really solved this problem.

Are you guys gonna do "The Island of Dr. Moreau," the H. G. Wells novel, or "Island of Lost Souls," the Hollywood version, or some adroit combination?

"The Big Sleep" is another tricky one where you might want to consult the novel as well as the film(s).

Speaking of creepy, I concocted a script for you guys. It's based on a short story that was published back in the sixties. It's here:

http://www.geocities.com/kingrr/fishwaif.html

Feel free to do whatever you like with it (or to ignore it, which would be okay, too).

Ok,

So I pulled my Time Presidents comment a couple of months ago, but now that they are public let me just say: Stefan, you have achieved new heights with the Time Presidents.

I also have to say that I absolutely love the secret Nazi moon base.

We hope to have web version up next week...sorry for the delay.

For those on campus, you should be able to find copies in the Grille and the Library information desk by this afternoon.

Besides which, it is significantly more authentic 'soap' to simply jump from one shaky climax to another, not staying any any one long enough for the premise to come tumbling down.

Currently, as a means to prevent comment spam, each comment needs to be approved by a real live person. Since we had over 2,000 comments in that time period, most of them adverts for penis enlargement, it takes a while to get through the spam que.

Hopefully we will have a better system in place soon.

That's odd. I tried to post a comment on the 7th and, when it didn't show up after several days, I tried again on the 12th -- and suddenly both comments now appear on the site. Interesting glitch.

Random observations:

1. "The Manchurian Candidate" is still missing in action.

2. Look! A new message board for modern audio dramatists and their friends: http://www.audiodramatalk.com

3. Anxious to hear how you guys handle the crop duster sequence in "North by Northwest."

Wait a minute. What happened to the episode with "The Manchurian Candidate" and "Number One on the Docket"? Except for the Brookshale segment it doesn't seem to have been posted.

So now you're on about the Prohibition Party. Next you'll be saying people were throwing their votes away when they gave support to Eugene V. Debs.

Oh, wait...

Note from the creator: That's Confucius! With Satchmo, while amusing and fun is ended out of respect for the Master and Derek's voice. Votes for it are like votes for the Prohibition party. They will have no result. Vote for something cool like Learn To Speak Old.

An entirely spectacular show. Also, Jessie's writing style seems that of Mark Twain or any other turn of the last century newspaper man.

The Manchurian Candidate was inspired.

I think that the lovely Miss Davenport should die, but then . . . the body should dissappear (to potentially re-appear at a later date).

I also think that the outcome of the meeting in Shady Alley should be uncertain.

Even though Jerry's role has changed pretty dramatically now (i.e., he's no longer comic relief), I hope it's Meggie that bites it. Frankly, Terence's character will be stronger if he has to deal with that tragedy, and Meggie isn't really adding much to the story at this point. Such is the tragedy of being the straight woman amidst all the madness of Brookshale. If she doesn't die, maybe an irreversible coma?
