Stamped for Murder

We’re famous!

Okay, perhaps we’re not famous, but we are featured in the Winter 2008 issue of Middlebury Magazine. Their web version has apparently not yet updated to the current issue, but if all our devoted fans keep checking, I’m sure you’ll see yours truly grinning at you like an idiot (I haven’t seen it yet, so I can’t actually guarantee that). Pick up your copy in your parents’ mailbox or your local administrative office today!

Backstage pass 3×09

Please note that the site was down when I wrote and tried to post this, therefore it is written from the appropriately sleepy 1:24 AM POV in which one has still only recently experienced the related events.

Our fourth semester of broadcast and podcast is complete! For some of us, that also means that our final fall semester at Middlebury comes to a close, but the beauty of our radio world is that we can ignore the depressing or scary parts and focus on the fact that, yes, we had another great season. And it was a great season!

Backstage pass: 3×08

I’m finding that I half wish I’d had work after the show this week. That way, I would have been a lot more likely to write this up immediately, and thereby give all Gracious Readers the benefits of fresh experience and moderate exhaustion. Backstage pass: 3×07

On the off chance that anyone has interest, I present a sleepy, work-addled reflection on this week’s show.

For those unfamiliar with the ways and gambols of MrTots production, auditions are a Wednesday evening venture, often fraught with interruptions, silly voices not pertinent to the characters being read, and endless riffing on the more bizarre audition lines. This Wednesday, our humors on the breezy side, we got to debate altering the dynamic of the wholesome heterosexual couple in one script even as we shrugged at a glancing reference to “‘net hos.” You know. Whatever.

An average evening at auditions.

DEREK: Going once, going twice… congratulations, Kofi. You’re Barlow.
KOFI: (kicks over chair) DAMN IT! I didn’t want to BE in this show!
